I am Natalie and I was a self-employed single mother when I met my wonderful husband, Drew.

My children and I were living in and renovating a farmhouse in the Cotswolds. It was a huge project for us and, as a family, we were determined to create the perfect home. Drew was the builder who arrived and turned our plans into a reality. But not only did I get my dream home but a partner for life as we fell in love and eventually married.

As busy working parents, we enjoy escaping whenever we can. Family holidays aside, sometimes we need time to ourselves, to relax and recharge. On one holiday together, Drew and I discovered a shared love of Devon and, in particular, the quaint village of Appledore. It’s such a special place to us and and we knew straight away that it was the perfect place to start our search for our holiday retreat.

Once we bought our pretty pink cottage, (which was in major need of TLC) we knew with Drew’s building skills we could turn it into something exceptional. For over a year we renovated and decorated the property until finally it was the perfect place where we could ‘Dream by the Water’.

I’m confident that with our shared vision, our attention to detail, and our pursuit for perfection, you will agree, we have achieved our ambition of the perfect retreat.
